Have you ever been to Clingmans Dome at the Top of the Great Smokey Mountains ⛰️
At 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome is the highest point in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The observation tower on the summit of Clingmans Dome offers incredible views (when it isn’t foggy) of the Smokey Mountains. In order to reach the dome, you have to walk 1/2 a mile which doesn’t sound terrible but it’s incredibly steep. We definitely struggled with the incline and the altitude. We visited in the middle of summer and you know it is pretty warm in Tennessee at this time but by the time we reached the top we were so cold!
